Book Review – Windows-noob OSD guides

Hi All, today I would like to comment about a book that I have read in the last few weeks that is the “The Windows-noob OSD Guides for Configuration Manager 2012 R2, by Niall Brady”. the 1st thing to say is the author, if you don’t know him, I suggest you access windows-noob.com. Niall has been publishing tutorials there for quite some time and it is a must-stop for those that are stating with SCCM as well as for those that has more experience. The book is well written and clear of what you need to do to achieve the goal, if it is to integrate SCCM with MBAM, deploy a surface pro, custom windows 8.1 start menu or anything else that is related with OSD. Customising boot image, creating custom forms to be using during OSD (HTA forms), drivers, etc. those are things that you need to know to…

old 2015 and new 2016

Hi All, I would like to start this post talking about last year, 2015. 2015 started great, with renewing my MVP award. as you can imagine, this is the 1st email I look for on the 1st day of the year, being part of this community is just something that I cannot explain in works, but if I had to choose one it would be: WOW. 2015 was a crazy year for me, in both professional and personal lives. I had been working as CTO/Principal Consultant (and I also was a non-executive directory) for a company called xinfra, but unfortunately, the owner/director decided to close the company down and, so I decided to take my take the risk and take my own business (RFL Systems) to the next level, instead of working of behalf of other companies. And I hope the RFL Systems brand will only grow this year, with…

MVP Summit – Hackaton

Hi All, during the MVP Summit, we had a nice work with the Product Team where the MVP group asked some features to be added to the product and that could be coded in a Week and that may be added to the project in a later version (as we hope those will make it) I have to say that we had great projects, in total 10 projects led by MVP’s and coded by Microsoft… Team 1 – Active Have you ever needed to know what machines are active? you need this, they delivered a way to see what machines are online, they integrated with Cortana and etc. I have to say, really great project Team 2 – Wizards Have you ever used the console to do stuff and needed to select the same option over and over? this is the “fix”. It will allow you to save the options…

6th MVP Award, a thank you post

Great news! I’ve been awarded as Microsoft MVP for the 6th time. It is a great honour to accomplish that. 2014 was a very challenging year, with the loss of my dear mother and a lot of good hard work going unnoticed. Fortunately, with the support of some great people, I can move on and achieve great things. ♪♫ I get by with a little help from my friends ♪♫ I would like to thank “The Desktop Team”, Raphael Perez and Heinrich Pelser for the motivation and for never giving up on me. The ITPRO.es community for being the best group of crazy friends someone can have. Dani Alonso, Miguel Hernandez y Carlos Luengo helped me through this complicated year. And I would like to thank Cristina Gonzalez, a lot, for the continuous support. A big thank you! David Nudelman
